The Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre, Inc. (MNC) located in Lambton seeks an experienced Youth Worker.
Essential Criteria:
- relevant tertiary qualifications and / or experience in working with young people
- an understanding and knowledge of youth issues especially needs of CALD youth
- awareness of different specialist services available to young people in the Hunter
- an ability to develop and implement a program of activities
- effective time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- proven high level communication / interpersonal skills
- professional computer skills
- Commitment to be actively involved in the activities of the MNC.
- Current driver licence and an access to a fully comprehensive insured vehicle
Desirable Criteria:
- Formal qualifications in the area of Community Services
- Experience with data collection, recording and analysis.
The position is for 12 hrs per wk. Awards and conditions as per SACS award.
