The Lock-up invites artists working across all disciplines to take up residency in Newcastle for three to four weeks starting January 2009. The vision of the program is to give artists the opportunity to explore new forms of expression relevant to the Newcastle Region and the unique qualities of the Lock-up. Now into it’s ninth year, Art in the Vines is a judged exhibition of art work in the following areas: Paintings, Pottery, Sculpture, Australian Indigenous works, Photography as well as a children section. The show attracts around 250 exhibitors from across NSW. Will be open till the 14th September.
