The Lock-up invites artists working across all disciplines to take up residency in Newcastle for three to four weeks starting January 2009. The vision of the program is to give artists the opportunity to explore new forms of expression relevant to the Newcastle Region and the unique qualities of the Lock-up. 2008 Art Bazaar - Art & Craft Street Market
Come to the 6th Annual Art Bazaar Arts & Crafts Street Market on Saturday 6th of December, where you will experience the vibrant, exciting atmosphere of this increasingly popular event in beautiful tree-lined Laman Street.
There will be plenty to tempt visitors with over 45 stalls featuring locally-made arts and crafts, including ceramics, glasswork, jewellery, paintings, prints and drawings, textiles and fashion. Meet the artists and be delighted by buskers from Hunter School of Performing Arts, with great food and coffee just around the corner in Darby Street.
