Support for Indigenous Culture

The Australian Govt has announced it's approval of almost $400 000 in grants for local Indigenous language, arts and cultural programs.

Local grants recipients are:

-$344 960 for the Awarbukarl Cultural Resource Association for IT resources and language materials for language workers.

-$32 394 for the Loft Venue to support arts and cultural training programs for Indigenous youth.

-$10 000 for the Muloobinda Aboriginal Corporation to deliver a cultural program for Indigenous men in the Port Stevens, Wollumbi and Lake Macquarie areas.

OPPORTUNITIES - Seniors week grants

Applications are open for the 2009 NSW Seniors week Grants Program and 2009 Seniors week Acheivement Awards.

Applications for grants close at 5pm on 19 September 2008 and successful applicants will be notified in earl December.

Arts NSW's 2009 Arts Funding Program

Applications are now open for Arts NSW's 2009 Arts Funding Program, which replaces the Cultural Grants Guidelines.

The 2009 Arts Funding Program Guidelines, Application Forms can be found on the Arts NSW website http://www.arts.nsw.gov.au

Briefing session on the Arts Funding Program will be held in: NEWCASTLE THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER – 11.00 am to 1.30 pm, Newcastle City Hall, Hunter Room, 2nd Floor, 290 King Street Newcastle.

The Besen Family Foundation Grants

APPLICATIONS CLOSE OCTOBER 3RD

The foundation supports projects across the performing and visual arts, and will give preference to projects that are innovative and challenging. Funding is available to non-for-profi t organisations who have both DGR and TCC status. For funding guidelines or further information visit: www.besenfoundation.org.au

Small Grants For Small Rural Communities

 

APPLICATIONS CLOSE SEPTEMBER 30TH

This program will offer around $850,000 a year in grants to benefit people in rural or remote communities.

Incoming Touring Exhibition Grants

APPLICATIONS CLOSE SEPTEMBER 26TH

 

These program provides financial assistance to publicly funded galleries, visual arts organisations, craft and design centres and exhibition spaces in NSW enabling them to bring high quality visual arts and craft exhibitions to their community that they might otherwise not be able to due to costs and/or distance.

Minimum is $2000.
